6 Days of Gifts: The Villains’ Holiday Guide, Coffee

It’s the holiday season and that means one thing: We’re this close to turning our backs on the dumpster fire that is 2020 for good!

This is the final installment of our gift guide. Today, we’re sharing items that we think would make great presents for team members, top performers, loyal guests (in-person, delivery or takeout), charity raffles, family, friends…everyone, really.

There are people all over the country that probably don’t feel like they have much to celebrate and aren’t in the holiday mood. If one has the means, donating to a local charity, sponsoring a family, or providing for struggling employees would be an incredible gesture this year. Just checking in on team members, family, friends, and neighbors with genuine interest—safely, of course—so they know someone cares can go a long way.

We’re featuring coffee and coffee-related items that will make great gifts or raffle prizes this year. But first, we’re taking a different approach today and highlighting a cause we think deserves all the attention it can get first.

Happy holidays, cheers, and the Villains hope everyone has a safe and healthy December!

This T-Shirt Fights Cancer, $30

Industry veteran Chris Patino was diagnosed with stage four pancreatic cancer in July. One night he went to bed feeling fine and the next morning he was unable to get out of bed. The proceeds of each This Shirt Fights Cancer tee, designed by Dave Stolte, based on a design by Woodrow Guthrie, and originally sketched on the back of a napkin—so fitting for this industry—go to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (PANCAN). F*ck cancer.

Beyu Coffee, $14.50 to $16.75

When you place an order on BeyuCoffee.com for their delicious blends or single-origin expressions, five percent of the proceeds go to the Beyu Food Project, which fights food insecurity and provides assistance for restaurant workers in Durham, North Carolina. You’ll also be supporting a small, Black-owned business! One-time purchases and subscriptions are available.

Cooper’s Cask Coffee Mug Gift Set, $44.95

Coffee drinkers can always use another mug. And this barrel-shaped mug from Cooper’s Cask Coffee just happens to arrive accompanied by three intriguing, artisan-roasted, single-origin barrel-aged coffee flavors: Single Malt Whiskey, Rye Whiskey, and Rum. Click here to buy it on Amazon and support a small business.

Cometeer Pilot Program, $64

Using a proprietary method, Cometeer extracts the aromas and flavors of quality coffee. The next step after “ultra-precise” brewing is a -321-degree-Fahrenheit liquid nitrogen bath. What some may assume is freeze-dried coffee in Cometeer pods is actually a frozen puck (which is machine compatible) that can last for months without sacrificing fresh flavors or aromas. The only ingredients are coffee from some of the country’s best roasters—there are no preservatives, only convenience. Check out the Pilot Program here.

Tim Horton’s Original Blend, $25.99

The brand, the myth, the legend: Tim Horton’s. Coffee lovers will rejoice when they’re on the receiving end of this 48-ounce canister of the pride of Canada, 100% Arabica, medium roasted Tim Horton’s Original Blend coffee. Grab it from Amazon here.

Corkcicle Travel Mug, $27.95

This stainless steel ensures no coffee lover ever has to travel without their favorite beverage. Keeps cold drinks cold for up to nine hours and hot drinks hot for up to three. Ergonomic sides and a silicone base make it comfortable to use and keep it from slipping and tipping over. The Villains have had these for years—they’ve stood up to constant travel, drops and washes like champs. Pick it up here from Amazon.

Bodum Pour Over Coffee Maker, $19.99

Any pour-over coffee fans on your list will appreciate this gift. Featuring a permanent stainless steel mesh filter, heat-resistant borosilicate glass and an attractive cork band, this one-liter pour-over coffee maker is functional and stylish.
